WHO BENEFITS FROM THE FOUNDATION?
Resources are provided to young Australians who have the capacity to overcome disadvantage through opportunity. Individuals under 18 who seek mentorship or monetary resources to enable engagement in higher education or workforce participation are encouraged to apply.
HOW DO BENEFICIARIES RECEIVE ASSISTANCE?
Benefactors receive monetary benefits through scholarships, accommodation, amenities, and travel, as well as non-monetary benefits through mentorship, work experience, and access to employment opportunities.
HOW ARE FOUNDATION OBJECTIVES FUNDED?
Bridgemill Ventures has committed 5% of all generated profits to the foundation in perpetuity and encourages its portfolio companies and network to do the same.
WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FOUNDATION?
The foundation is a wholly owned by Bridgemill Ventures and is managed by the company on a day to day basis.
HOW ARE BENEFICIARIES SELECTED?
The Foundation board meets on an as-required basis to assess the individual merits of candidates and seeks to support a small number of individuals with the highest likelihood of a successful outcome.
WHAT DEFINES A SUCCESSFUL OUTCOME?
Success is measured by the completion of higher education and gainful employment in a selected field. The foundation promotes honest relationships, respectful dealings, and personal satisfaction from accomplishment.
HOW CAN I BECOME INVOLVED?
Our program means that a monetary donation alone is not enough. We encourage interested parties to also provide time and access through mentorship and workplace opportunities, and, if possible, monetary donations.
Anton has professional experience in mergers, equity, and debt capital markets within Australia. Additionally, he is a corporate executive specialising in business transformation, corporate and board administration, strategic planning and execution for growth, and initial public offerings (IPOs) on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX). His considerable experience is now focused on emerging Australian companies with revenues of $2 million to $10 million and a consumer focus. Today, Anton is the Founder of Bridgemill Ventures, an investment fund and family office with interests in agriculture, education, energy, and private credit. In addition to Bridgemill Ventures, Anton is the Chief Financial Officer of DelayPay, an Advisor to Financial Education Professionals, and a Board Advisor to iO Energy and Ozora Electrical & Renewables. Alongside his work, Anton is the founder of the Bridgemill Foundation, which addresses disadvantage through real opportunity by providing financial and non-financial support to Australian youth who are determined to undertake higher education or upskilling, with the goal of improving their livelihoods through purpose and gainful employment. Anton has been involved in over $1.3 billion in capital transactions and has held various positions at Findex, Platinum Asset Management, and Deloitte. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Finance from the University of Adelaide.
Dr. Megan Sheppard (MBBS, FRACP) is a specialist in Paediatric Respiratory and Sleep Medicine. She graduated from Bond University, Queensland, in 2013 and began her paediatric training in 2015, later sub-specialising at The Westmead Children’s Hospital in Sydney, NSW. Dr. Sheppard's professional experience includes staff specialist roles at John Hunter Children’s Hospital in Newcastle, NSW, and Starship Children’s Hospital in Auckland, New Zealand. She is committed to delivering exceptional paediatric care and collaborates closely with families to ensure optimal health outcomes. Her contributions to medical literature include publications on paediatric sleep apnoea, severe asthma, and haemoptysis in cystic fibrosis. She is currently pursuing a Master of Bioethics at the University of Sydney and lectures at The University of Adelaide Medical School.
